BEHAVIOR SPECIALIST

Do you want to make a difference in other’s lives? We are currently looking for qualified applicants interested in working with individuals diagnosed with disabilities in the area of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). The candidate should be passionate and a team player.

Duties:

  • Address challenging behaviors in the home and community
  • Work collaboratively with parents
  • Work well individually and in a group setting
  • Implement individualized programs, based on ABA methodologies
  • Collect data on the child’s progress
  • Teach functional, life skills to client

We serve the following areas: Los Angeles areas (ELA, Highland Park, El Sereno, Lincoln Park, Boyle Heights) & San Gabriel Valley (Alhambra, Monterey Park, San Gabriel, Temple City, Rosemead, El Monte, Baldwin Park, La Puente, Azusa, Covina, Pomona).

CBC Education, Inc. provides Behavior Intervention, DIR/Floortime and Social Skills Training to clients diagnosed with autism and other developmental delays. Over ninety percent of our team is bilingual – the most common second languages being Spanish, Mandarin and Cantonese. Services are designed to empower the family with knowledge and effective strategies to support positive behavior and socio-emotional development.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
  • A minimum High School diploma or equivalent
  • Bilingual preferred (Spanish, Cantonese, Mandarin, Vietnamese)
  • Reliable transportation, with proof of insurance
  • Computer with webcam & Internet Access
  • Smartphone
  • Pass criminal background check
  • TB test clearance
  • Be available a minimum of 15 hours per week (between 2 pm – 8 pm Mon – Fri & Sat 8 am – 6 pm)
