Our Social Skills Training Program theme for May centers around teamwork. The need to collaborate and support each other will assist our clients in learning how to work together towards a common goal. Playing games helps children learn important social skills such as teamwork, communication, and problem-solving.
Here are a few sample activities:
Cooperative Board Games
Players will work together rather than competing against each other towards a common goal. These games require players to strategize, communicate, and collaborate to achieve a shared objective.
Building Project
Group projects involve collaborative efforts to create something tangible, such as constructing a fort, building with blocks, or assembling a puzzle. They work together to plan, design, and construct their creation.
Artwork or Collage
Groups can work together on a large artwork activity, allowing them to share ideas and responsibilities for different sections.
These are just a few of the activities we will be working on with clients this month. Happy May!
