The Regional Center (RC) is a nonprofit corporation, funded by the Department of Developmental Services (DDS). There are RC offices throughout California to provide resources and services to individuals with developmental disabilities. Floortime and social skill services are mainly funded by the RC. If your family member does not have a diagnosis of autism and is younger than 3 years, the RC should fund ABA services. In addition, a RC may fund ABA services if you are covered under a self-funded health insurance plan or your health insurance plan is located outside the state of California.
